Job Description
I am seeking a Personal Assistant to support my 17-year-old Autistic son with building his independence,
confidence, and life skills for 10 hours per week. We are flexible with the days and hours to suit different

My son has no physical health needs and is independent with toileting, his behaviour is well regulated, and
he enjoys accessing the community but requires supervision from another person to ensure he is safe and
not at risk from others. He is polite and friendly but can appear shy. With consistency and time to build a
relationship he would like to access fitness activities including going to the gym, Salford Youth Zone, out

About Me
I am 17-years-old and live at home with my Mum.
I have a diagnosis of Autistic Spectrum Disorder and an associated learning disability.
I am very creative, I love to draw, colour, and I am really interested in animation. I also enjoy watching films
(Disney are my favourite), and I am interested in trying singing, acting, and dancing. I am becoming more
interested in sports and would like to try out going to a gym. I am already building lots of independent life
skills and can prepare a simple meal with guidance (e.g. heating up soup).
I can be chatty especially when talking to people I know well and about things I am interested in, I need
other people to talk to me in clear, short sentences and to give me time to process what they have said. I
can appear shy to new people at first but I will speak when I am ready and feel comfortable.
