We are seeking a Consultant Ophthalmologist with a specialist interest in glaucoma to join our friendly, supportive and forward thinking Eye Unit, with an anticipated start date of Oct 2026. This role offers the opportunity to make a meaningful impact on patient care by delivering high-quality, specialist glaucoma services within a collaborative multidisciplinary team known for its innovation and commitment to continuous improvement. We are looking for an enthusiastic clinician with expertise or a strong interest in glaucoma, excellent teamwork skills, and a passion for delivering outstanding patient-centred care.
You will
- Deliver expert care in the management of complex glaucoma cases
- Undertake glaucoma clinics and surgical activity, including conventional surgery and MIGS
- Work collaboratively within a multidisciplinary team to optimise patient outcomes
- Contribute to the development and continuous improvement of the glaucoma service
- Participate in the teaching and training of resident doctors, nurses, optometrist and wider staff
- Maintain up-to-date knowledge of advancements in glaucoma care and surgical practice
