As a Logistics Operative in our RAF Brize Norton team, you’ll play a key role in supporting vital operations by ensuring materials and equipment are in the right place at the right time.
In this hands-on role, your work has real purpose. You’ll help keep essential logistics moving for the Royal Air Force, contributing to operations that protect and support communities. Working alongside both Serco colleagues and RAF personnel, you’ll be part of a collaborative team delivering a positive impact every day.
What you’ll do as a Logistics Operative
You’ll be entrusted to
Manage the receipt and distribution of stock to internal teams and external contractors
Carry out storekeeping duties, including stock control and inventory management
Operate material handling equipment such as counterbalance forklifts (training provided if required)
Support general warehouse duties including housekeeping and maintaining safe working areas
Deliver materials across the site in line with operational requirements
Work across warehouse and office environments to support daily operational output

You’ll be a great fit for this role if you have
A full UK Category C1 driving licence
Experience in a logistics or supply chain environment
A team-focused approach with a commitment to excellent customer service
Basic IT skills and a willingness to learn new systems
The flexibility to complete required training and adapt to operational needs
This role requires Baseline Personnel Security Standard (BPSS) process, which involves verifying your identity, employment history, nationality, and criminal record to meet government security standards. In addition, the role requires you to obtain formal Security Clearance (SC), which includes more detailed background checks on employment, criminal record, and financial history to ensure suitability for working in secure environments. Please note that UK residency requirements may apply for certain levels of clearance. You will also complete an Occupational Health Questionnaire so we can identify and provide any support you may need to undertake the role effectively.
