Gatehouse Security Officer

We are currently seeking a professional and reliable Gatehouse Security Officer to join our security team at a busy site in Charlton SE7. The successful candidate will be responsible for maintaining site security, controlling access and egress, and ensuring all visitors, staff, and contractors comply with site procedures.

This is an excellent opportunity for an experienced security professional who is confident, customer-focused, and able to work independently.

Key Responsibilities

Monitoring and controlling access to the premises

Conducting vehicle and visitor checks

Logging arrivals and departures accurately

Issuing visitor passes and maintaining records

Monitoring CCTV systems and reporting incidents

Performing regular patrols where required

Responding to alarms, incidents, and emergencies

Ensuring compliance with site health & safety procedures

Providing excellent customer service at all times

Requirements

Valid SIA Security Guarding or Door Supervisor Licence

Previous gatehouse or security experience preferred

Good communication and interpersonal skills

Ability to remain calm under pressure

Basic computer literacy

Strong attention to detail and professionalism

Reliable and punctual with a flexible approach to shifts
