Responsibilities
Assess and respond to housing needs and enquiries from individuals and families experiencing housing difficulties.
Provide information, advice, and support on housing options, rights, and responsibilities.
Work collaboratively with local authorities, housing associations, and support services to secure appropriate accommodation.
Develop and maintain detailed case records to ensure accurate documentation and reporting.
Advocate on behalf of clients to resolve housing issues and prevent homelessness.
Monitor and review client progress and adjust support plans as necessary.
Participate in multi-agency meetings and contribute to the development of housing strategies and initiatives.
Keep up to date with housing legislation, policies, and best practices to inform service delivery.
Requirements
Proven experience working in housing advice, social work, or a related field.
Comprehensive knowledge of housing law, homelessness legislation, and relevant policies.
Strong communication and interpersonal skills to engage effectively with clients and stakeholders.
Ability to work independently and as part of a multidisciplinary team.
Excellent organizational and time management abilities.
Empathy and understanding when dealing with vulnerable individuals and families.
Proficiency in case management systems and Microsoft Office applications.
Ability to handle confidential information with discretion and professionalism.
