The Role
This fast-paced first opinion clinic is looking for a second full-time RVN to support its growing caseload. The practice sees a wide variety of medical and surgical cases, and with a Senior Vet who has a strong interest in surgery, this role offers excellent clinical exposure and development opportunities.
You’ll work closely with a highly supportive team and play a key role in all aspects of practice life, including theatre, consultations, inpatient care, stock control and mentoring trainee nurses.
Key Responsibilities
- Deliver exceptional nursing care across all areas of the practice
- Assist veterinary surgeons during consultations and surgical procedures
- Monitor anaesthesia and maintain accurate patient records
- Provide inpatient care, admissions and discharges
- Run nurse consultations and preventative healthcare clinics
- Manage stock levels of drugs, consumables and diets
- Maintain and sterilise surgical equipment
- Support the induction and development of new team members
- Mentor trainee veterinary nurses
- Assist with reception and client communication when required
Working Pattern
- Full-time position
- 4-day working week (Mondays off)
- 1 in 4 branch Saturdays
- 1 in 10 Saturday rotation at a nearby 24-hour hospital
- 1 bank holiday per year
- No on-call duties
The Practice
The clinic spans two floors and is fully equipped to support a broad GP caseload, offering a stimulating and varied environment for an enthusiastic RVN.

- Senior Veterinary Surgeon
- Associate Veterinary Surgeon
- Senior Registered Veterinary Nurse
- Trainee Veterinary Nurses
- Dedicated Manager
Salary & Benefits
- £32,000 to £36,000 depending on experience
- 6.6 weeks annual leave including bank holidays
