About the role This isnt a typical care role. As a Relief Care & Support Worker, youll support tenants living in their own flatshelping them stay independent, connected, and in control of their lives. From practical support to companionship, youll build meaningful relationships and play a key role in creating a strong community. This post is for bank staff to cover absence on a relief as and when required basis, working days between 7am and 9pm and will include some weekends. Typical shifts would be 7am to 3pm or 3pm to 9pm. There is a genuine occupational reason under the sex discrimination act 1974 that the post holder must be female. What youll be doing Supporting tenants with personal care and daily living Promoting independence, choice, and dignity Building trusted relationships with tenants and their families Supporting wellbeing through social activities and community engagement Working with health and social care professionals to provide joined-up support Keeping accurate records and using care planning systems What were looking for Caring, compassionate, and respectful A great communicator who enjoys building relationships Reliable, organised, and able to work independently and as part of a team Comfortable supporting people with different needs, including dementia Willing to learn and develop Experience in care is helpful but not essentialwe provide full training.
