About this role

Assistant Director of Estates - Fire Safety (Head of Fire Safety)

East London NHS Foundation Trust is seeking an exceptional leader to join our Estates, Facilities & Capital Development Directorate as Assistant Director of Estates – Fire Safety (Head of Fire Safety).

This is a pivotal Trust-wide leadership role, providing strategic direction and professional authority for all aspects of fire safety across more than 125 sites, including mental health hospitals, community health facilities, offices and residential premises. Acting as the Trust's principal professional adviser, you will lead the development of our Fire Safety Strategy, governance framework and assurance arrangements, ensuring compliance with NHS Firecode, the Regulatory Reform (Fire Safety) Order, the Building Safety Act and associated legislation.

Working closely with Executive Directors, senior clinical and operational leaders, regulators and external partners, you will provide expert advice, lead the Trust's response to fire safety risks and regulatory inspections, and ensure that our patients, staff and visitors are protected by safe, compliant and resilient environments.

This is an outstanding opportunity to join an ambitious Estates leadership team and play a key role in delivering high-quality, safe and sustainable healthcare environments across East London, Luton and Bedfordshire.

As the Trust's Head of Fire Safety, you will provide strategic leadership, professional advice and assurance across all aspects of fire safety management.
