We are looking for an enthusiastic, reliable male Personal Assistant to support a 21-year-old young man who loves getting out and about and making the most of his independence. He has a big interest in theme parks, fast food restaurants, cars, airplanes and going for drives, and he enjoys spending time in the community doing activities that feel right for his age, including trips out, socialising and the occasional visit to the pub. For this reason, it would be preferable for the PA to be of a similar age range, to help support shared interests and build a natural, peer-like rapport.

This role is about companionship as much as support. You will be taking him out into the community, helping him explore his interests, providing respite to his mum, and supporting him to enjoy new and familiar experiences in a safe and positive way. Building a good rapport and being able to share a laugh, enjoy days out and handle busy environments will be an important part of the job.

At times, he may experience tics that can lead to socially inappropriate language. We are therefore looking for someone who is calm, understanding and experienced in supporting individuals with additional needs, particularly around behaviour awareness and positive behaviour support. The ability to respond with patience and professionalism will help create a safe, respectful and supportive environment for everyone involved.

If you are patient, confident, enjoy an active lifestyle and are looking for a rewarding role where no two days are the same, this could be a great opportunity to make a real difference while sharing memorable experiences together.
