About this role
Are you passionate about Mathematics and motivated to make a real difference for our students? We are seeking a dedicated Maths Education Support Assistant to provide personalised support to students and enhance their learning within the maths curriculum. This is a rewarding opportunity to work closely with students, helping them build confidence, develop independence and achieve their full potential academically and personally.
What you will do
Support students’ learning in maths lessons and through targeted interventions, in line with teacher planning
Prepare and adapt resources to meet individual learning needs and styles
Promote independence and confidence through structured support and guided practice
Monitor and record student progress, maintaining accurate and organised documentation
Support students’ wider development, including social, emotional and communication skills
Assist with whole-school maths activities and initiatives
Provide personal care and physical support where required
Communicate effectively with staff and students to maintain high standards of learning and care
Follow safeguarding, health and safety, and data protection procedures at all
What we’re looking for
A genuine passion for Mathematics and supporting young people
GCSEs (or equivalent) in English and Maths at Grade 5/C or above
Patient, resilient, flexible and positive approach
Strong communication and teamwork skills, with excellent organisational ability
Ability to work independently and use initiative while following direction from teaching staff
Confident IT skills and ability to maintain accurate records
Commitment to safeguarding and promoting the welfare of students
Desirable
Experience in an education setting, delivering maths interventions, or supporting students with SEND; knowledge of maths learning platforms and tools.
