Early Years Practitioner (Maternity Cover)

Early Years Practitioner - Preschool Term Time Only

We are looking for an enthusiastic and passionate Early Years Practitioner to work as part of our team at St Bernadette's Bees Preschool to start 1st June 2026 or as soon as possible after this date.

Our setting is situated in Farnborough and care for children from 2 years of age.

Successful candidates will

Hold a full and relevant Level 2 or Level 3 Early Years qualification

Demonstrate a genuine passion for early childhood education

Create an interesting, stimulating, and engaging environment for children

Communicate clearly and professionally with children, families, and colleagues

Act as Key Person for up to eight children, providing emotional security, strong attachments, and consistent parent communication

Is reliable, proactive, and works well within a small team

Understand and promotes inclusive, child‑centred practice

Confidently supports children with emerging or identified additional needs

Engage in daily indoor and outdoor play

Excellent knowledge of safeguarding procedures

Paediatric First Aid trained (desirable)

We are a term time setting and the hours will be 35 hours per week. Monday to Friday 08:15–15:15 until July 2027.

For the right candidate, we may be able to offer hours beyond the end‑point of this vacancy, depending on the working pattern taken up by the returning practitioner.
