Cleaner (Communal Areas)

We are looking for a reliable and detail-focused Cleaner to maintain the communal areas at The Cumberland Road Studios in Wood Green. You will play a key role in keeping shared spaces clean, hygienic, and presentable for all residents, tenants, and visitors.

This role is straightforward but important: you’re basically the person who makes sure the building doesn’t slowly turn into chaos. If you take pride in clean spaces and can work independently, this is for you.

Key Responsibilities

Clean and maintain all communal areas including hallways, stairwells, entrances, and shared spaces

Clean and sanitise touchpoints such as door handles, railings, and switches

Maintain cleanliness in shared kitchen and bathroom facilities

Empty bins and ensure waste is disposed of correctly and safely

Replenish consumables where required (soap, toilet rolls, etc.)

Report any maintenance issues, damages, or health & safety concerns immediately Follow site cleaning schedules and hygiene standards consistently

Ensure cleaning supplies are stored safely and used correctly

Person Specification

Reliable, punctual, and trustworthy

Able to work independently without supervision

Good attention to detail (you notice what others ignore)

Physically capable of regular walking, bending, and lifting light loads

Previous cleaning experience preferred but not essential (training can be provided)

Basic understanding of health & safety and hygiene practices

Working Hours

Flexible shifts depending on site requirements

Early morning or evening work may be required

Part-time or full-time hours available depending on operational needs
