The Governors of La Sainte Union Catholic Secondary School are seeking to appoint an excellent classroom practitioner to join our school as a Teacher with Head of Year responsibility.
This is a teaching post where strong applicants able to teach any subject will be considered, combined with a significant pastoral leadership role as Head of Year (Years 7–11).
The Role –
The successful candidate will
Deliver high-quality teaching within their subject area
Lead a year group, ensuring outstanding pastoral care, wellbeing and safeguarding
Drive high expectations for behaviour, attendance and achievement
Lead and support a team of form tutors
Work closely with families, staff and external agencies to secure the best outcomes for all pupils
Implement targeted interventions to support pupil progress and personal development
We are looking for someone who
Is an excellent teacher with a strong track record in the classroom
Has the ability or ambition to take on pastoral leadership
Is highly organised, resilient and proactive
Builds strong, positive relationships with students, staff and parents
Is committed to safeguarding and inclusive practice
