Deputy Manager (Clinical)
We are seeking an experienced Deputy Manager (Clinical) to support the Home Manager in delivering safe, effective, and compassionate nursing care in line with CQC standards and best practice.
Reporting to the Home Manager, you will provide strong clinical leadership to nursing and care teams, ensuring person-centred care that promotes dignity, choice, and wellbeing. You will oversee clinical governance and take responsibility for the service in the Home Manager’s absence, ensuring full compliance with CQC requirements and company policies.
Key Responsibilities
- Lead, mentor, and supervise nurses and care staff
- Conduct clinical audits and ensure continuous quality improvement
- Review and update care plans and risk assessments
- Oversee medication management and accurate record keeping
- Support pre-admission assessments and ongoing resident evaluations
- Liaise with healthcare professionals, families, and external agencies
- Identify and act on safeguarding concerns appropriately
About You
- Previous Deputy Home Manager experience
- NMC Registered Nurse (essential) with relevant experience
- Strong knowledge of CQC standards
- Ability to build effective relationships with residents, families, professionals, and staff
- Committed to involving residents and families in care planning
- Confident in safeguarding processes and referral pathways
