ABOUT THE ORGANISATION

Our client in the Thames Town of Chertsey in Surrey which is part of a chain of over 50 nurseries is seeking a confident and experienced Room Leader for their busy nursery. Offering career progression, training and a great place for the children to thrive.

THE ROLE & BRIEF DESCRIPTION OF DUTIES

· Create a safe, welcoming, and inclusive environment where everyone can thrive as a team.

· Lead our ‘learning through play’ ethos and our Curriculum with care and flair.

· Be a role model for outstanding care and education, inspiring your team to bring their best every day.

· Champion continuous improvement, keeping practice fresh, creative, and Outstandingly Outstanding.

· Shape the daily routine of your room, ensuring smooth transitions from mealtimes to naptimes to playtimes.

· Support your team to plan, observe, and deliver high-quality learning experiences tailored to every child.

· Coach, guide, and motivate your team through regular feedback and professional development.

· Build strong, trusting relationships with parents and keep them involved in their children’s learning.

· Embed and role-model our safeguarding, health and safety, and wellbeing standards across your room.

WHAT WE ARE LOOKING FOR

· Previous experience working with children in an educational setting (ideally as a Room Leader, Third in Charge, or nursery practitioner, nursery nurse, or early years educator). · For Baby Room Managers, you will need previous experience working with children under 2. · Experience in leading and coaching a team. · A background in leading consistent and exceptional customer service. · Full and relevant Level 3 Early Years qualification (or above). · Paediatric First Aid (12 hours) and a commitment to remain compliant. · Relevant safeguarding/child protection training and be willing to update that training regularly. · A genuine passion for education and changing the lives of children. · A positive, glass-half-full outlook. · Bags of drive and motivation with a ‘make it happen’ attitude!
