Team Leader - Domiciliary Care

About this role

We are seeking a reliable and motivated Team Leader to oversee daily operations, support staff performance, and ensure high-quality service delivery. The role involves both site-based responsibilities and working out in the community, supporting staff and service users where required.

The successful candidate will lead by example, maintain operational standards, and contribute to a positive and productive working environment.

Key Responsibilities

Provide guidance, support, and training to team members

Work both on-site and out in the community to support service delivery

Monitor performance and ensure targets and service standards are met

Handle escalations, incidents, and customer or client concerns effectively

Assist with staff rota planning, including weekend and on-call coverage

Ensure compliance with company policies, procedures, and relevant regulations

Maintain accurate records and complete administrative tasks as required

Support management with reporting, audits, and continuous improvement initiatives

Person Specification

Essential Skills and Experience

Previous experience in a supervisory or Team Leader role

Strong leadership and communication skills

Ability to motivate and manage a team effectively

Good organisational and problem-solving abilities

Full UK driving licence and access to a vehicle

Ability and willingness to work independently within the community

Flexibility to work weekdays, weekends, and participate in on-call duties

Competent in basic IT systems and administrative tasks

Qualifications

Ideally hold a Level 3 qualification in a relevant field

Desirable

Experience in the care sector

Additional leadership or management training

Working Hours

Full-time position

Flexible shift patterns, including weekdays and weekends

Community-based working as part of the role

Participation in an on-call rota (additional pay provided)

Pay and Benefits

£15.25 per hour (weekday rate)

£16.25 per hour (weekend rate)

Additional payment for on-call duties
