About The Role

Working within EMCOR UK who are now part of OCS UK&I.

This position would require 4 days in Cambridge and 1 day in Manchester.

Key Responsibilities

  • Perform routine electrical maintenance and repairs across the site.
  • Respond promptly to electrical faults and emergencies.
  • Carry out planned preventative maintenance (PPM) tasks.
  • Ensure compliance with health and safety regulations and electrical standards.
  • Work collaboratively with the wider facilities and technical teams.
  • Maintain accurate records of work completed and materials used.
  • Perform Fabric Maintenance work onsite.

Hiring Criteria

  • Previous experience working within Facilities Management would be ideal
  • Proven experience working in a commercial environment.
  • Strong fault-finding and problem-solving skills.
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
  • Good communication and organisational skills.
  • Full clean driving licence
  • Able to carry out basic IT tasks on handheld devices.

Essential Qualifications

  • A craft qualification such as a recognised electrical apprenticeship such as or equivalent to City & Guilds 2350 NVQ
  • Level 3 Electrical Installation Engineering + AM2
  • The current wiring regulations qualification such as or equal to City & Guilds 2381-18 Level 3 Award (18th Edition)
  • Valid and in date Grade card/CSCS Card.

Desirable Qualifications

  • An Inspection & Testing qualification such as or equal to City & Guilds 2391-52 Level 3 Award in Initial and Periodic Inspection and Testing of Electrical Installations
