About this role

The Occupational Health service provides care and support to our ESHT people, helping them to remain healthy at work and to return to work following periods of sickness absence. By supporting staff wellbeing, we play an important role in ensuring a positive experience for patients using ESHT services.

The Occupational Health department works closely with other teams across the Trust to support the recruitment of new employees, reduce the risk of transmissible infection, and provide timely, effective support to staff who use our service.

We are looking for a well-organised and motivated individual with a positive, can-do attitude and excellent interpersonal skills to provide high-quality administrative support to the Occupational Health team. The successful candidate will have previous administrative experience and will be comfortable working as part of a team in a busy office environment.

As an Administrator within the Occupational Health service, you will work as part of a supportive team committed to delivering a prompt, efficient and compassionate service for the people of ESHT. We regularly monitor and review our work to identify opportunities for improvement and take pride in the quality of service we provide.

Our office hours are 8am-4pm, Monday to Friday - the post-holder would be required to support an 8am start.

The post will be based at either Eastbourne District General Hospital or Conquest Hospital; the base location will be confirmed upon appointment.

The Administration team cover a wide variety of duties including booking vaccination appointments, processing new staff on-line questionnaires, booking case management appointments, answering telephone calls and e-mail enquiries, assisting OH practitioners and clinicians, processing reports – please see the job description for more information. The post holder will need a calm manner and possess a good knowledge of GDPR.
