Control Panel Builder –

The Role

We need you to help us build bespoke panels that leave our workshop “right-first-time”, shortening our customers’ outage windows and strengthening national infrastructure.

Your opinion will count in our family run firm, that is relaxed but hard-working and dedicated.

Control

Panel Builder - Key Responsibilities

  • Translate technical drawings into fully assembled control panels (≈ 40 % mechanical fitting / 60 % wiring)
  • Visualise layout, measure, cut, drill and mount components in steel enclosures
  • Loom, crimp and terminate cables from 0.5 mm² to 10 mm² to BS 7671 standards
  • Self-inspect against Quality Assurance checklists to drive consistent quality
  • Collaborate daily with design, test and project engineers to meet cost, quality, H&S and delivery goals
  • Ensure a tidy and organised workplace, and make a positive contribution to overall health and safety
  • Communicate, collaborate and deal with other wiremen, contract engineers, test engineers & supervisors to ensure the panels are completed to meet customers’ quality & timing requirements
