About this role

Your new company

An exciting opportunity has arisen to join a leading global organisation with operations spanning multiple international jurisdictions. This highly respected business operates in a complex and fast-paced environment and is seeking an experienced Insurance Manager to join its Corporate Insurance team on a 12-month fixed-term contract covering maternity leave. Working as part of a small, high-performing team within Group Treasury, you will play a key role in ensuring the organisation's global insurance programme remains effective, well governed and aligned to strategic, operational and regulatory objectives.

Your new role

As Insurance Manager, you will support the delivery of the organisation's global insurance strategy and take responsibility for a broad range of insurance activities across an international portfolio. You will work closely with internal stakeholders across the business as well as brokers, insurers and other external partners to ensure robust insurance arrangements are maintained globally. Your responsibilities will include supporting the negotiation, placement and ongoing management of global corporate insurance programmes, reviewing insurance requirements across the business and ensuring appropriate risk transfer strategies are in place. You will oversee insurance administration activities, including premium payments and multinational policy requirements, whilst maintaining strong relationships with key insurance market partners.

The role will also involve supporting claims activity, providing insurance advice on contractual obligations, assisting with mergers and acquisitions due diligence and integration projects, and identifying opportunities to enhance insurance risk management practices across the organisation. You will act as a subject-matter expert, providing guidance to stakeholders on insurance-related matters and helping embed effective insurance governance processes throughout the business. There will also be opportunities to represent the organisation externally within the wider insurance market and deputise for the Head of Corporate Insurance when required.

What you'll need to succeed

To be successful in this role, you will have extensive experience working within the insurance industry, gained either in broking, underwriting or an in-house corporate insurance environment. Experience within Financial Lines insurance, particularly D&O and related risks, would be highly advantageous. You will possess a strong understanding of the London Market, insurance placements, claims handling and global insurance programmes.

You will be a confident communicator with excellent stakeholder management skills and the ability to build strong relationships across a large, complex organisation. Strong analytical, negotiation and presentation skills are essential, together with a deep understanding of insurance markets and risk transfer mechanisms.

The successful candidate will be degree educated, ideally hold or be working towards a professional insurance qualification such as ACII, and bring a proactive, hands-on approach with the ability to adapt their communication style to suit a wide variety of stakeholders.

What you'll get in return

In return, you will receive a competitive salary (D.O.E) alongside the opportunity to join a globally recognised organisation during an exciting period. This role is offered on a 12-month fixed-term contract, provides exposure to senior stakeholders across an international business and offers a hybrid working arrangement with three days per week in the London office.
