Full job description
A small hotel located in countryside town of Langholm near Gretna is seeking an Commis Chef / Kitchen Assistant.
Role
A refurbished hotel that is located within 15 min drive Gretna, 50 min drive of Dumfries is recruiting for a Commis Chef to work in our Visit Scotland Taste our Best accredited kitchen. The hotel offers its guests and outside customers dining in the restaurant which offers a main menu featuring seasonal, modern dishes but also offers more traditional dishes. As Chef you will be working within a Chef owner so will be expected to have good kitchen skills with the ability to run a number of sections depending on the needs of the business.
Requirements
The role needs a
Commis Chef who has Kitchen Experience and fresh food background based in high quality kitchens.
A chef who is used to presenting dishes in a clean, modern style whilst cooking in a busy kitchen is needed for this role.
A Full understanding of Food safety management systems to maintain compliance with food safety standards already in place.
Ability to help and support all sections of the kitchen operation.
Ability to work a mix of Day and Evening Shifts working 4 to 5 days out of 7 with some weekends and split shifts to meet the needs of the business.
