GRP Laminator

As a Fibreglass Laminator, you'll play a key role in manufacturing high-quality composite components from start to finish. Working with a variety of products and manufacturing techniques, you'll be responsible for producing components that meet our exacting quality standards. This is a varied, hands-on role offering the opportunity to develop your skills within an experienced composites manufacturing team.

Key responsibilities

• Manufacture GRP components using composite manufacturing processes including hand lay-up and, where trained, Resin Transfer Moulding (RTM).

• Prepare moulds for production, including cleaning, inspection and the application of release agents.

• Identify and select the correct materials for each project.

• Apply gel coats and reinforcement materials in line with manufacturing specifications.

• Assemble composite components in accordance with technical drawings and work instructions.

• Carry out quality checks throughout the manufacturing process to ensure components meet customer specifications.

• Complete work to agreed production schedules while maintaining high quality standards.

• Maintain a clean, safe and organised working environment in line with company policies and health and safety procedures.
