Job Description

This position's primary role is to serve as an expert inspector for complex construction projects, with a specialized focus on hazardous environments involving explosives.

Core Responsibilities

Complex Inspections

Conduct thorough inspections of challenging construction projects, including sophisticated mechanical, electrical, and hydraulic systems within explosives-rated facilities that store munitions and aircraft.

Regulatory Compliance

Perform regular evaluations to ensure adherence to all relevant regulations and standards for weapons and explosives safety.

Technical Consultation

Act as a technical advisor to the contracting office and engineering flight, providing expert guidance on project requirements.

Equipment & Materials

Inspect materials, equipment, and specialized systems, such as lightning protection, to ensure they meet operational and safety standards.

Reporting

Compile detailed written reports based on inspection findings and the interpretation of applicable policies and regulations
