Conduct patient consultations (face-to-face, telephone and occasional home visits where appropriate). Diagnose and manage acute and chronic medical conditions. Promote health education and preventative medicine. Undertake clinical procedures within scope of competence. Review laboratory results and hospital correspondence, with letters already triaged to minimise administrative workload. Maintain accurate patient records using SystmOne. Work within agreed clinical protocols and NICE guidance.

Team Working

Work collaboratively with GPs, nurses, allied health professionals and administrative staff. Participate in practice meetings, clinical audit and quality improvement initiatives. Support the supervision and training of medical students, GP registrars and other learners where appropriate.
