About the Role

Welfare HS Solutions is seeking a dedicated, permanent In-House Care Trainer to join our internal Learning & Development team at our Luton headquarters. This is a direct-hire, salaried payroll position created to onboard, upskill, and maintain compliance for our internal adult social care staff pipeline.

In this role, you will be the cornerstone of our quality assurance, taking newly hired healthcare assistants and support workers through their mandatory inductions, practical competencies, and ongoing compliance updates.

Key Responsibilities

Internal Onboarding

Deliver and assess the 15 core standards of the UK Care Certificate to all incoming healthcare staff.

Practical Instruction

Lead hands-on classroom sessions for mandatory care components, including People Moving & Handling (using hoists and slide sheets) and Basic Life Support.

Competency Sign-Off

Assess and physically verify classroom and workplace competencies before staff are deployed to local care environments.

Compliance Tracking

Update and maintain internal staff training matrices, ensuring all annual refreshers (Safeguarding, Infection Control, Medication Admin) are completed ahead of schedule.

1-to-1

Mentoring

Provide direct, ongoing coaching to healthcare assistants looking to progress their careers within the organization.
