About this role
Main Duties and ResponsibilitiesWorkflow Management Process incoming clinical correspondence, including hospital letters, discharge summaries, pathology reports and other patient-related documentation. Review and accurately assign documents to the appropriate clinician or team member. Identify urgent correspondence and escalate promptly in accordance with practice protocols. Ensure all workflow tasks are completed within agreed timescales. Monitor workflow queues and prioritise work effectively. Patient Records Maintain accurate and up-to-date electronic patient records. Enter clinical information onto records in accordance with practice protocols. Support the quality and integrity of patient data. Ensure all documentation is filed correctly within the clinical system. Administrative Support Provide administrative support to clinicians and the wider practice team. Assist with the processing and management of patient information requests. Support practice projects and service improvements as required. Undertake any other reasonable administrative duties appropriate to the role. Information Governance Maintain strict confidentiality regarding patient and practice information. Comply with GDPR, Data Protection legislation and NHS Information Governance requirements. Follow all practice policies and procedures relating to information security and confidentiality. General Work collaboratively as part of the wider practice team. Participate in training and development activities. Contribute to the continuous improvement of practice processes and patient services. Demonstrate a professional and courteous manner at all times.
