About this role

We are seeking a dedicated and detail-orientedLTVS Data Input Coordinatorto join our team in theRespiratory Departmentat Wythenshawe Hospital. The role involves maintaining and updating the Long-Term Ventilation Service (LTVS) database, completing paperwork, and ensuring efficient communication between various departments including IT, finance, and medical engineering.

The successful candidate will handle data input tasks, manage inquiries related to the LTVS database, and support the tracking of incoming medical equipment. You will also provide clerical support, liaise with healthcare professionals, and ensure data accuracy in line with relevant policies.

You may also assist in training new staff, manage cross-cover duties within the team, and participate in audits when required. This role requires excellent organisational skills, proficiency in office procedures, and a commitment to maintaining high data protection standards.

This is a part-time role (30 hours), reporting to the Team Leader for Long Term Ventilation, with opportunities to grow your knowledge of medical terminology and healthcare systems

As anLTVS Data Input Coordinator, your primary duties will include

  • Inputting and updating datain the LTVS database to ensure accuracy and completeness.
  • Handling DEVA finance paperworkand liaising with the finance department.
  • Responding to inquiriesrelated to the database and coordinating with LTVS staff, IT, finance, and medical engineering teams.
  • Tracking and logging medical equipment, ensuring all relevant information is recorded.
  • Communicating with healthcare professionals, such as GPs, to ensure accurate patient data recording.
  • Assisting with clerical tasksincluding typing and distributing letters and reports for the Outreach team.
  • Supporting the induction and trainingof new staff members.
  • Ensuring data protection complianceand adherence to Trust policies.
  • Providing cross-cover supportfor colleagues and participating in departmental audits when needed.

Disclosure and Barring Service (DBS) check

Standard DBS

Who Needs a DBS Check

The Costs for a DBS

At Manchester University NHS Foundation Trust (MFT), roles that require a DBS check are subject to a cost recovery policy. This means that the cost of submitting and processing a DBS application if you are successful and join us, will be deducted from your salary within the first three months of employment. If, however, you withdraw from a conditional offer after the DBS process has begun, you will still be liable for the cost incurred.
