KEY TERMS & CONDITIONS

• 37 hours per week, 25 days holiday pro rata, 1 day birthday leave, 8% non-contributory pension

The Employment Coach will deliver the information, advice and guidance function within SOARs Social Prescribing Service, working on a one-to-one basis to:

• Source and generate referrals for the employment team

• Develop close working partnerships with health, social care, housing and voluntary, community or faith (VCF) organisations

• Working closely with SOAR’s wider staff team to both generate referrals and provide a wider support offer for clients

• Identify employment opportunities for the range of individuals referred to job club provision from a variety of sources

• Support people into sustained employment

• Determine realistic employment goals and identify the individual’s barriers to work

• Pro-actively approach potential employers to secure work opportunities

• Liaise with the individuals and employers to ensure sustained employment

• Develop close working partnerships with health, social care, housing and voluntary, community or faith (VCF) organisations

The post holder will have strong communication skills, be organised and able to engage with clients from a range of backgrounds, managing a complex caseload. Using motivational interviewing and coaching techniques to build confidence in clients and to progress them into work and/or training.

An Enhanced DBS is required for this role.
