About this role
Join our friendly team as a Senior Business Support Assistant at Hampshire Equipment Services (HES) and Reablement Service, where we support people across Hampshire who need additional care.
As an integral part of our small supportive team, you’ll carry out vital administrative tasks and interact with customers, ensuring the smooth running of our service. Your work will be confidential, demanding and at times emotionally challenging, but always rewarding, which will suit your empathetic and flexible approach. You’ll be part of a service who are committed to promoting people’s independence and enhancing their quality of life, supporting them to remain living in their own homes, reducing, avoiding, or delaying the need for ongoing care.
What you’ll do
•
Be the Friendly Face
Handle calls, monitor and respond to emails, and act as the first point of contact for all visitors and staff.
•
Foster Connections
Build and nurture positive working relationships within our team and with our service users.
•
Solve Problems
Address and resolve high volume queries, ensuring customer satisfaction by escalating complex issues when necessary.
•
Ensure Accuracy
Perform data checking and monitoring tasks, including working with spreadsheets to keep everything running smoothly.
•
Manage Incoming Enquiries
Triage incoming queries for the wider HES organisation through shared inboxes, following standard response procedures.
•
Coordinate Deliveries
Liaise with medical professionals, members of the public, and drivers to schedule deliveries across designated areas within Hampshire.
•
Prioritise Effectively
Use strong problem-solving skills to manage workloads, prioritise cases, and ensure operational requirements are met despite restrictions.
What we’re looking for
• Previous administrative experience.
• Good IT skills with MO365 experience (including Word, Outlook, Teams and Excel).
• Excellent organisation and prioritisation skills.
• Strong communication, customer service, interpersonal and teamwork skills.
• Patience, compassion, and empathy in all interactions. You’ll treat all service users with dignity and respect and have a strong focus on customer service.
