Are you looking to start a hands-on career in vehicle maintenance and engineering?

East Lindsey District Council is seeking an enthusiastic and motivated Apprentice HGV Motor Vehicle Technician to join our Fleet Services team based at Warwick Road Depot, Louth.

You will obtain the heavy goods vehicle technician level 3 qualification over 3 years, you will work towards category c driving licence to be able to road test or move HGVs.

This is an exciting opportunity to earn while you learn, working towards a recognised qualification whilst gaining practical experience alongside our experienced and supportive workshop team. Over the course of your apprenticeship, you will develop the skills and knowledge needed to service, maintain and repair a varied fleet of HGVs, specialist vehicles, plant and equipment that help deliver essential services to our local communities.

You'll learn how to carry out vehicle inspections, routine servicing, diagnostics, repairs and maintenance activities, working under the guidance of qualified technicians and attending formal training as part of your apprenticeship programme.

The role is based at Warwick Road Depot in Louth and is a full-time apprenticeship position working 37 hours per week, Monday to Friday. Some flexibility may be required to support the needs of the service as your skills and experience develop.
