Are you an experienced Mechanical Technician or Mechanical Fitter looking for a stable, long-term opportunity with a leading industrial manufacturer?

We're looking for a skilled, hands-on engineer to join our clients maintenance team, playing a key role in keeping our plant running safely, efficiently, and reliably. This is an excellent opportunity to work within a fast-paced industrial environment where no two days are the same.

This is a days-based position, with weekend working on a rotational basis during operational periods.

What You'll Be Doing

  • Carrying out planned and reactive mechanical maintenance across the site.
  • Replacing and inspecting industrial valves.
  • Removing, installing, and maintaining process pipework.
  • Maintaining conveying systems, including tracking, roller replacements, and cover fitting.
  • Replacing bearings and carrying out mechanical repairs.
  • Pump installation and precision alignment.
  • Diagnosing mechanical faults and implementing effective repairs.
  • Supporting plant reliability and continuous improvement initiatives.
  • Working safely in line with company procedures and engineering best practices.
  • Collaborating with production and engineering teams to minimise downtime.

What We're Looking For

  • NVQ Level 3 in Mechanical Engineering (or equivalent), supported by a recognised apprenticeship.
  • Previous experience within a manufacturing, process, food, feed, or heavy industrial environment.
  • Strong mechanical maintenance and fault-finding skills.
  • Experience working on pumps, bearings, pipework, conveyors, valves, and rotating equipment.
  • Excellent problem-solving skills with the ability to prioritise workloads.
  • A proactive approach to maintenance and continuous improvement.
  • Able to work independently and as part of a multi-disciplined engineering team.
  • Good understanding of health, safety, and engineering standards within an industrial environment.

If you're a motivated Mechanical Technician or Mechanical Fitter who enjoys solving problems, maintaining critical equipment, and making a real impact on plant performance, we'd love to hear from you.
