About the role

The TEC Partnership is seeking an experienced and proactive Health and Safety Business Partner (Assurance, Systems & Operational Risk) to join our Health and Safety Team.

This is an exciting opportunity for a health and safety professional who is passionate about driving continuous improvement through assurance, insight and effective risk management. Working across a diverse and dynamic educational environment, you will play a key role in ensuring health and safety arrangements are implemented consistently, monitored effectively and continuously improved.

The role has a particular focus on assurance, systems and operational risk, helping the organisation identify trends, emerging risks and opportunities for improvement. You will work closely with managers and teams across the Partnership, providing professional advice, challenge and support to ensure that health and safety standards are understood, applied and embedded effectively.

This role offers an excellent opportunity to influence organisational performance, improve safety outcomes and help shape the future development of health and safety across the TEC Partnership.

About the person

The successful candidate will be an organised, analytical, and solutions-focused health and safety professional with a NEBOSH Certificate (or equivalent) and strong knowledge of health and safety legislation, risk assessment, incident investigation, and management systems.

They will have experience supporting audits, inspections, and risk controls, analysing data to identify trends, and providing clear, practical recommendations. Excellent communication, problem-solving, and organisational skills are essential, along with the ability to build positive relationships and travel between TEC Partnership sites.

Desirable experience includes audit or assurance training, ISO standards awareness, First Aid at Work, teaching or training qualifications, and providing technical oversight within a health and safety function.
