HGV Class 1 Driver

Class 1 (LGV CE / HGV) Drivers - Store Deliveries

Normanton (WF6) | Full Time | Ongoing Work - Immediate starts (assessment needed)

The Best Connection are currently recruiting Class 1 (LGV CE / HGV) Drivers for a leading client based in Normanton (WF6).

This is a fantastic opportunity to secure regular, ongoing work delivering to stores via mainly loading bays, with some tail lift deliveries required.

The Role

• Store deliveries across the region
• Primarily loading bay deliveries, with occasional tail lift work
• Ensuring timely, safe, and professional delivery of goods
• Representing a well-established and reputable distribution operation

✅ Requirements

• Valid Class 1 (CE) licence
• In-date CPC and Digital Tachograph card
• Maximum 6 penalty points (no major endorsements)
• Minimal experience accepted - ideal for newly qualified drivers
• Must pass a driving assessment (including reversing and manoeuvring)

Shift Patterns

Choose from consistent, rotating patterns

• Tuesday to Saturday AM
• Thursday to Monday AM
• Thursday to Monday PM

✅ Consecutive rest days each week

Pay Rates (Plus Holiday Pay Accrual)

Nights (18:00 - 04:00)

• £19.00 per hour
• Overtime after 10 hours (minimum 8 hours guaranteed per shift)

Days (04:00 - 18:00)

• £16.63 per hour

Weekends

Saturday

£21.08 per hour

£27.32 per hour
