CTRG is recruiting Production Operatives on behalf of a well-established food manufacturer in Sunderland.

As a Production Operative, you'll play an important role in producing high-quality food products whilst working in a fast-paced and supportive environment where safety, quality and teamwork are at the heart of everything they do.
Shift Pattern

Rotating shifts
- 06:00 - 14:00
- 14:00 - 22:00
- Working across 7 days, including weekends, on a rostered basis
- Full-time, permanent employment
The Role
Working within both Low Risk and High Risk production areas, your responsibilities will include
- Carrying out production duties as directed by Team Leaders and Shift Managers
- Operating machinery and equipment once trained and authorised
- Ensuring products meet quality, food safety and hygiene standards
- Completing production paperwork and quality checks accurately
- Following all HACCP, GMP and site operating procedures
- Maintaining excellent housekeeping standards and following "Clean As You Go" practices
- Supporting critical production processes, including:
- Ovens
- Mixing
- Metal Detection
- Chillers
- X-Ray Equipment
- Tumblers
- Searers
- Reporting faults, hazards and production issues promptly
- Supporting colleagues and new starters where appropriate
- Wearing PPE correctly and adhering to health and safety requirements
What We're Looking For
- Previous production or manufacturing experience is advantageous but not essential
- Food production experience would be beneficial
- Basic Food Safety knowledge or Food Safety Level 2 qualification desirable
- Good written and spoken English
- Strong attention to detail
- Positive attitude and willingness to learn
- Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced environment
- Reliable, flexible and committed to high standards
