About this role
We are looking to recruit additional Radiography Assistants in the Diagnostic Imaging Department and would love to hear from you if you are an organised individual interested in patient care.
Radiography Assistants are essential for the smooth running of the Diagnostic Imaging service, supporting both patients and staff with a range of diagnostic imaging procedures.

This role is not available for Skilled Worker visa sponsorship. Applicants must already have the legal right to work in the UK at the time of application. Unfortunately, we are unable to support visa applications for this post in line with UKVI regulations.
The role includes
- Clinical support and patient care during imaging procedures involving MRI, CT and X-Ray.
- Assisting in movement of beds, wheel chairs, and patients using manual handling equipment provided.
- Preparing the clinical rooms for procedures and working aseptically during procedures.
- Entering data into the radiology computer system.
- Communicating with members of staff outside of the department to arrange complex scanning procedures.
We are looking for a motivated and caring individual who is ready to learn new skills and join our friendly team.
The department operates a seven day service and shifts involving evenings, weekends and community hospital sites.
Our hospital provides a range of services and links with satellite units as part of the Wessex Trauma network. The hospital secured funding for a new ED and ITU to be completed in 2027. We are nationally recognised for research and audit.
