Hours
The Nursery Manager will work in partnership with the Deputy Manager to organise their working pattern, ensuring the nursery is fully operational Monday to Friday, 8:00am – 6:00pm. Flexibility is essential to meet the needs of the nursery.

We are a family-run nursery based in the heart of Vauxhall, London, offering a warm, welcoming and nurturing environment for children, families and staff alike.
Our nursery is located in a purpose-built building opened in 2018, which has recently undergone further renovation and redecoration to provide an exceptional learning environment. We are also fortunate to be surrounded by a variety of beautiful parks, gardens and local attractions, which form an integral part of our outdoor learning programme and enrich our children's educational experiences.
As our nursery continues to grow, we are looking for an ambitious and dedicated Nursery Manager who is excited by the opportunity to grow with us and play a key role in shaping our future.
Role Overview
The Nursery Manager will be responsible for the overall leadership and day-to-day management of the nursery, ensuring the highest standards of care, education, safeguarding and compliance are consistently achieved. The successful candidate will lead by example, inspire their team and create a positive culture where children, families and staff can thrive.
Key Responsibilities
Lead and manage the daily operation of the nursery.
Ensure the nursery consistently delivers outstanding standards of childcare and early years education.
Maintain compliance with EYFS, safeguarding, health and safety, and Ofsted requirements.
Manage, motivate and develop the nursery team through coaching, supervision and performance management.
Work collaboratively with the Deputy Manager to ensure effective staffing and operational cover.
Build strong, positive relationships with children, parents and carers.
Promote a stimulating, safe and inclusive learning environment.
Support nursery occupancy, reputation and continued business growth.
Manage resources effectively to ensure the nursery operates efficiently.
Foster a positive workplace culture that reflects the values of our family-run business.
Person SpecificationEssential
Previous experience as a Nursery Manager or an experienced Deputy Nursery Manager ready to step into a management role.
Relevant Level 3 Early Years qualification or above.
Strong understanding of the EYFS framework and Ofsted requirements.
Excellent leadership, organisational and communication skills.
A genuine passion for delivering exceptional childcare.
Strong knowledge of safeguarding and child protection.
Ability to lead, motivate and inspire a team.
