About this role

The Volunteer Co-ordinator plays a key role in developing and supporting Family Fund’s Volunteering programme.

In this role, you will contribute to facilitating volunteer recruitment from identifying recruitment opportunities to onboarding volunteers, matching volunteers to suitable opportunities, and ongoing volunteer support. You will be an ongoing key point of contact for volunteers and volunteer managers, including provision of induction and light touch training.

You will manage key relationships with recruitment centres and universities, support the promotion of volunteer recruitment using external contacts and platforms, as well as working closely with our communications team to agree social media posts and other communications content to raise the profile of volunteering within the organisation. You will support ensuring provision of inclusive volunteering opportunities and work closely with internal stakeholders to maximise corporate and skills-based volunteering opportunities to meet the needs of the charity.

Family Fund is a great place to work for great people. We provide a challenging and rewarding working environment where every staff member can make their mark.

We are a values based organisation and we aim to show our values in all that we do. Read our staff stories and see how our staff display our values every day.

We commit to inclusion, equality and diversity and we welcome applications from all parts of the community. Family Fund is a Disability Confident Leader. We will invite to interview all disabled applicants who meet the requirements for the role. If you have a disability, and are happy to let us know, please highlight this in your covering letter. We have also signed the Armed Forces Covenant and we welcome applications from the Armed Forces Community.

When you’re ready to apply, complete the online application and submit a CV and a covering letter. Your letter will need to explain what skills and qualities you would bring to the team.
