We are seeking a Catering Assistant to join our welcoming team at Oakmoor Lodge Care Home in Bushey. This luxury, 72 bed state-of-the-art care home offers exceptional residential, dementia and respite care in elegant surroundings, featuring beautifully designed lounges and dining areas, a hair and beauty salon, spa room, cinema, café, spacious en-suite bedrooms, and landscaped gardens, all within easy reach of Bushey’s vibrant local community
As a Catering Assistant you will support the preparation and serving of nutritious meals, and help create a welcoming dining experience that promotes residents health, wellbeing and dignity.
What You’ll Bring
- A team‑focused attitude and good communication skills
- Experience in food preparation and service preferred, however full training is provided
- Familiarity with hygiene standards
- Reliability and good Customer Service skills
- A positive, caring and compassionate attitude
- Ability to follow Chefs
Your Day-to-Day Responsibilities
- Preparation and serving of meals
- Assisting residents with dining needs where required
- Follow high standards of food hygiene and health & safety
- Support the kitchen team with cleaning and washing duties
- Supporting with stock and storage
- Follow any other task requirements from the Chefs
