Early 50’s female with physical disabilities. Likes to be as independent as possible, in reality this can vary on a day to day basis.

Hours and Rate of Pay

18 hours over 5 week days. May be additional hours when husband is away on business.

Person Specification

Help with personal care as well as day to day running of family life.

Assistance with practical aspects of daily living.

Assist/attend medical appointments.

Be willing to prepare food & meals.

Should have a genuine interest in the provision of high quality care, be able to work flexible hours and be a good communicator.

Possess the motivation to develop trust and understanding within the role.

Be hardworking, reliable, committed, honest and trustworthy. Have common sense and be able to use their initiative.

Flexible

Clean full driving licence essential (25+ for insurance purposes)

Ability to speak English fluently

Be cheerful with a good sense of humour.

Role responsibilities

Support with personal care in a dignified manner, meal preparation and cooking.

Help with medication.

Support with everyday chores, laundry, maintaining the domestic environment to the required standard.

Support with social outings and medical appointments.

Establish a close working relationship on a 1-1 basis.

Undertake any duties which may be reasonably allocated and fall within the scope responsibility of the job.

Needs may vary on a daily basis therefore hours, duties and tasks may alter slightly.
