THE JOB
To support the People Manager in the delivery of the People service specifically in relation to day-to-day transactional activities ensuring that the advice is legal and compliant.
To act as the first line contact for Line Managers and employees on all People relation matters and provide guidance and advice on managing these as required, including absence management, grievances and disciplinaries.
With support from the People Manager, partner with business managers to coach and support on a variety of people practices, ensuring they are equipped to identify, address and resolve issues in accordance with policies and procedures.
Coordinate the implementation of people change projects ensuring employees are engaged, communicated with and are developed to enable the change.
Support and co-ordinate the recruitment processes for all relevant job vacancies, ensuring there is a robust search and selection process in place.
Assist in the development and implementation of onboarding and training programs.
To support the Line Managers on performance management agenda with particular focus on coaching, performance improvement and development.
Ensure data contained within the people database and personnel files, is both accurate and reliable, and enables the people team to effectively analyse the information.
To extract and prepare People data to assist the business with identifying opportunities for business improvement and growth can be measured.
To support the development of People policies and procedures which includes compliance of employment law.
To ensure any new or revised policies and procedures are cascaded to the relevant teams in a timely manner.
To co-ordinate and facilitate employee committees and other employment meetings as required, in order to promote engagement and excellent employee relations.
Provide support to the People Coordinator with day-to-day transactional activities, as required, including ad hoc cover during busy times and periods of leave.
To develop and maintain own up-to-date knowledge of relevant legislation and best practice.
