Legal Counsel

Flexible across the UK but ideally Birmingham, Olney, Bromsgrove, Cardiff or Manchester

40 hours - Monday to Friday

We're looking for a Legal Counsel to provide high-quality legal support across a broad range of commercial matters, working closely with stakeholders to support business objectives and mitigate risk. This position sits alongside our Power & Grid division.

Role Responsibilities

-Provide pragmatic and commercially focused legal advice across contracts, procurement and operational matters

-Draft, review and negotiate a wide range of commercial agreements

-Support business stakeholders on legal risk and compliance requirements

-Assist with dispute management and liaise with external counsel where required

-Contribute to continuous improvement within legal processes and governance

What we're looking for

-Qualified solicitor or equivalent with relevant post-qualification experience

-Experience in projects or construction law including NEC and the Power, Energy and Grid industry.

-Strong commercial contract drafting and negotiation skills

-Ability to communicate complex legal issues clearly to non-legal stakeholders

-A proactive, solutions-focused approach with strong attention to detail
