About this role

We're looking for a Senior Data Analyst to join our enterprise data team.

Location

Flexible on location - Hybrid working available with some travel to offices and sites as required

Hours

37.5 hours per week - some flexibility on hours available if desired, just let us know when you speak to us.

As a Senior Data Analyst, you'll lead the delivery of high-impact analysis and reporting that shapes decisions across Kier. You'll play a key role in establishing a central analytics capability, building on existing expertise to create consistent, scalable and governed reporting and self-serve analytics. This is an opportunity to set the standards for how we model, visualise and tell stories with data.

What will you be responsible for?

As a Senior Data Analyst, you'll be working within the Data & Analytics team, supporting them in delivering trusted insight and consistent reporting. Your day to day will include:

-Leading complex analytical investigations and transforming business questions into structured insight and recommendations

-Designing and delivering high-impact reporting across significant business domains

-Building robust, reusable semantic models and datasets that enable trusted self-serve analytics

-Partnering with senior stakeholders to frame the right questions and translate insight into action

-Setting and promoting standards for report design, modelling, performance and accessibility

What are we looking for?

This role of Senior Data Analyst is great for you if

-You have a degree or equivalent practical experience in a numerate or analytical discipline, with substantial experience delivering business analysis and BI in a complex organisation

-You're an expert in Power BI with advanced skills in semantic modelling, DAX, Databricks and performance optimisation

-You have advanced SQL skills and strong data modelling capabilities for analytical and self-serve use

-You communicate and influence confidently with senior stakeholders and can lead analytical delivery with autonomy

-You're passionate about driving consistency, quality and data literacy across an organisation
