About this role
They will act as support to the administration team. They will assist admin to ensure the smooth running of the admin department on a day to day basis and escalate any problems within the department to senior members of staff. The post holder will be expected to undertake a wide range of duties to support the radiology team on a day to day basis. Management of the Administration Staff to ensuring day to day demands are met within the department. The post holder will support the department by providing sufficient cover to all booking desks and reception. They will ensure that urgent request for bookings are actioned in a timely fashion to reduce potential risks. They will be responsible for overseeing modalities diary planning to ensure all opportunities are exhausted to fulfil the requirements of the departments expectations. They will run reports on a daily/weekly basis to be delivered to various departments within the trust. They will be responsible for implementing new projects within their administration remit to include text messaging and appointment letter updates to the providers of the services. To create, administer and maintain key documents within the department, including policies, procedures and databases, ensuring timely reviews and updates are carried out, liaising with staff within the department and externally as required. Provide support for the radiation protection staff, to ensure compliant documentation is produced and maintained. The post holder will oversee day to day management issues in coordinating and maintaining numerous rotas within the Imaging service, liaising with departments and teams as required, to ensure that all sessions are fully booked in six weeks notice and escalate to the appropriate team if needed. To work closely with Assistant service manager to monitor and support with capacity and demand works to avoid long breaches for the patients.
