About this role
An exciting opportunity has arisen within the Be U Swindon Mental Health Support Team for a part-time Clinical Supervisor and Senior Education Mental Health Practitioner. Working within a dynamic and evolving service, the post holder will provide clinical leadership, supervision, and support to Education Mental Health Practitioners (EMHPs) and Children's Wellbeing Practitioners (CWPs), enabling the delivery of evidence-based, low-intensity CBT interventions, guided self-help, group programmes, and Whole School Approach initiatives. The role will involve providing regular case management and clinical skills supervision, supporting workforce development, identifying training needs, and contributing to quality improvement and service development activities. The post holder will work collaboratively with schools, children's services, healthcare professionals, and community partners, managing referral pathways, monitoring waiting lists, and ensuring the effective allocation of cases. They will undertake clinical assessments and maintain a small caseload of children and young people, including those with more complex presentations, while promoting recovery-focused and child-centred practice. The role also includes supporting safeguarding processes, contributing to audits, outcome monitoring, and governance activities, maintaining accurate clinical records, and ensuring compliance with professional, organisational, and regulatory standards. As a senior member of the team, the post holder will contribute to the development of best practice, provide line management support where required, and actively participate in supervision, continuing professional development, and partnership working to improve mental health outcomes for children and young people across Swindon.
