HGV Class 1 (C+E) Drivers - Temp to Perm

LOCATION (Wellingborough)

£18.00 per hour £20.00 per hour after 48 hours

The Best Connection are currently recruiting for HGV Class 1 (C+E) Drivers with our global logistics and supply chain company that operates both freight management and contract logistics. This is a ongoing opportunity with excellent earning potential and long-term prospects.

About the Role

HGV Class 1 (C+E) Drivers -

Main duties and requirements are

• Typical start times will be 04:00 - 06:00, leaning more toward 04:00.
• Shift lengths average 10 - 12 hours
• Double manning on occasion
• Deliveries made with tail lift where drivers deliver & collect equal amount, shuffling of the load required
• Deliveries to sites with side tipping
• Deliveries to NDCs
• Occasional class 2 work
• Deliveries to sites with restricted access, experience is preferred
• Drivers required to comply with GXO training & regulations
• 2 - 3 drops a day
• CNG vehicles, gassing / refuel must be done off site

⏰ Working Hours

• Minimum 8-hour shifts
• Days and nights available
• Monday - Friday

Pay

• £18.00 per hour £20.00 per hour after 48 hours

What We're Looking For

• Valid HGV Class 1 (Category C+E) Licence
• Commitment to shifts/rotas
• Ability to work safely alone
• Time management and punctuality
• A good understanding of UK drivers' hours
