About the Role
Our client, a well-established organisation based in Aylesford, is looking for a Relationship Assistant to join their friendly and supportive team.
This is a fantastic opportunity for someone with excellent customer service and relationship management skills who enjoys building lasting connections with supporters, volunteers or customers. You'll play a key role in delivering an outstanding experience, providing guidance and support, and helping individuals achieve their fundraising goals while ensuring a seamless service.
Key Responsibilities
Relationship Management
- Build and maintain positive relationships with supporters and volunteers via phone, email and other communication channels.
- Act as a key point of contact, providing advice, information and ongoing support.
- Deliver tailored supporter journeys, ensuring every individual receives the right level of engagement and recognition.
- Escalate or transfer relationships to field-based colleagues where appropriate.
- Develop a thorough understanding of fundraising initiatives, events and volunteering opportunities to provide the highest level of support.
Supporter Experience
- Deliver an exceptional supporter experience throughout every stage of the journey.
- Carry out agreed stewardship activities to maximise supporter engagement, satisfaction and fundraising outcomes.
- Gather and share supporter feedback to help improve services and processes.
- Work collaboratively with colleagues across departments to ensure the successful delivery of campaigns and initiatives.
- Attend fundraising events when required, helping to deliver an excellent experience for supporters.
Administration & Team Support
- Maintain accurate supporter records using the organisation's CRM system.
- Ensure all processes, procedures and service standards are followed.
- Work closely with colleagues across fundraising and support teams to deliver consistent service.
- Participate in training, coaching and team meetings to continually develop knowledge and skills.
- Support the onboarding and training of temporary staff during busy seasonal periods.
- Contribute ideas for improving processes, efficiency and service delivery.
About You
We're looking for someone who has
- Previous experience in customer service, supporter care, fundraising, account management or relationship management.
- Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal.
- Strong organisational skills with the ability to manage multiple priorities.
- Confidence using CRM systems and Microsoft Office applications.
- A proactive and positive approach with excellent attention to detail.
- The ability to build strong relationships with a wide range of people.
- A collaborative team-focused attitude and a commitment to delivering excellent service.
