Job summary
We are recruiting Registered Nurses, Physiotherapists, Occupational Therapists, Paramedics and Pharmacists for a Functional Assessor role based in Lewes.
This is a structured, non-clinical role focused on functional assessment and report writing. There is no hands-on treatment, no prescribing, and no shift work.
Hybrid working is available, combining home working with attendance at the Lewes assessment centre.
Working hours
Full-time or part-time available
Part-time options are 3 or 4 days per week
All new starters must complete a 9-week full-time training programme
Monday to Friday working hours
No nights or weekends
Hybrid working, typically 2 days per week onsite in Lewes
Main duties
Carry out structured functional assessments
Assess how health conditions affect day-to-day functioning, including daily living and mobility
Complete assessments by telephone, video, or face-to-face
Review medical evidence and supporting information
Produce clear, accurate, evidence-based written reports
Use secure digital assessment systems
All appointments are pre-booked and assessments are not time-pressured.
Skills and experience required
Applicants must be registered as one of the following
Nurse (RGN, RMN or RNLD) with NMC registration
Physiotherapist with HCPC registration
Occupational Therapist with HCPC registration
Paramedic with HCPC registration
Pharmacist with GPhC registration
You must also have
At least 12 months post-registration experience
Good communication skills
Confidence with report writing
Basic IT skills and the ability to work to deadlines
You must have the right to work in the UK.

Salary of £45,300 per year (pro rata for part-time)
