We have an excellent contract opportunity for Transformation Programme Manager for our client.

Role Overview

Our client is seeking an experienced Transformation Programme Manager to support a strategic transformation initiative for their banking client. This is a high-profile role requiring an accomplished delivery leader with extensive experience managing large-scale business transformation programmes within complex banking and financial services environments.The successful candidate will possess a proven track record of delivering enterprise-wide change initiatives, driving strategic outcomes, and managing senior stakeholder relationships across multiple business functions. They will be responsible for leading cross-functional teams and ensuring successful programme delivery in alignment with Barclays' transformation objectives.

Key Responsibilities

  • Lead the planning, execution, and delivery of complex transformation programmes within a banking or financial services environment.
  • Drive business change initiatives that support strategic, operational, and regulatory objectives.
  • Build and maintain strong relationships with senior stakeholders, including Director and Managing Director-level executives.
  • Influence decision-making across multiple business units and functions.
  • Establish programme governance frameworks, reporting structures, and delivery controls.
  • Manage programme risks, issues, dependencies, and mitigation plans.
  • Coordinate and lead cross-functional teams to deliver programme milestones and business outcomes.
  • Ensure delivery remains aligned with business strategy, scope, timelines, and budget expectations.
  • Facilitate steering committees, executive governance meetings, and programme reviews.
  • Work closely with business, technology, operations, risk, and change teams to ensure successful implementation.
  • Drive adoption of change and support business readiness activities across impacted functions.

Required Skills & Experience

  • Extensive experience delivering large-scale business transformation programmes within banking or financial services organisations.
  • Proven track record operating at Vice President level or equivalent within complex enterprise environments.
  • Strong programme and project management expertise, including governance, planning, reporting, and stakeholder management.
  • Demonstrable experience managing multiple workstreams across business and technology functions.
  • Exceptional stakeholder management and communication skills.
  • Ability to influence senior leaders, including Director and Managing Director-level stakeholders.
  • Experience delivering strategic change initiatives involving organisational, operational, process, or technology transformation.
  • Strong risk, dependency, and issue management capabilities.
  • Excellent leadership skills with experience managing cross-functional delivery teams.
  • Ability to operate effectively within fast-paced and highly regulated environments.

Desirable Experience

  • Previous experience working with Banking clients or any Tier 1 banking organisations.
  • Experience delivering regulatory, operational resilience, digital transformation, or business simplification programmes.
  • Knowledge of Agile, Waterfall, or hybrid delivery methodologies.
  • Relevant certifications such as PRINCE2, MSP, PMP, Agile, SAFe, or equivalent.
