New Build & Refurbishment (50/50) | Typical Projects £1m–£5m | Salary £50,000–£70,000 + Car/Allowance
An excellent opportunity has arisen for an experienced Pre Tender Planner to join a well established, privately owned main contractor with a strong pipeline of work across Hertfordshire and the surrounding areas. This role suits someone looking to further their planning career within a stable, supportive business delivering a mix of new build and refurbishment projects.
The company works across commercial buildings, education, healthcare, heritage, leisure, community facilities, residential, fit outs and specialist refurbishments. Typical schemes range from £1m–£5m, with the wider business capable of delivering projects up to £10m.
You’ll be joining the Pre Construction and Estimating team, working alongside two other Planners and supporting Estimators throughout the tender process. There is clear room for progression as the team continues to grow.
The Role
• Producing tender and pre-construction programmes
• Preparing logistics plans, method statements and phasing strategies
• Working closely with Estimators during the tender process
• Assessing buildability, sequencing and construction methodology
• Reviewing tender information and identifying risks, opportunities and key programme drivers
• Supporting design development during pre-construction
• Liaising with clients, internal teams and supply chain partners
• Presenting planning information when required
• Ensuring all planning documentation is accurate and aligned with tender
