We are currently recruiting for a Boilerhouse Operative to join the facilities team for large contractor. This is a great opportunity for someone with general fabric, labouring, handyman, or maintenance experience who is looking to work within a busy, high-profile site environment.

The successful candidate will support the day-to-day running of the boilerhouse, ensuring maintenance tasks are completed safely, efficiently, and within agreed timescales.

Your new role

• Responding to reactive works within the boilerhouse
• Answering calls from around the facility when required
• Completing maintenance tasks within agreed timescales
• Carrying out statutory monitoring on boilerhouse assets and recording findings in shift logs
• Taking utility readings, including boilers and compressors
• General cleaning and housekeeping around the boilerhouse
• Carrying out painting works to maintain the facility to a good standard
• Ensuring all work is completed safely and in line with Health & Safety regulations
• Supporting the Lead Shift Technician and Shift Technicians with works around the boilerhouse

What you'll need to succeed

• General fabric, labouring, or handyman experience
• Experience working within a high-profile environment
• A current UK driving licence
• Good PC skills
• Strong customer service and communication skills
• The ability to organise workload and manage assigned tasks
• Awareness of Health & Safety procedures, including COSHH, Working at Heights, and Risk Assessments

What you'll get in return

You will be required to work a 4 on 4 off shift pattern, consisting of 2 day shifts and 2 night shifts, working either 7am-7pm or 7pm-7am. Long-term contract with weekly pay.
